September 2015 – January 2019

I organized experiments, developed data analysis software packages, and I’m the first or co-author for several scientific publications.

• I organized GPS data experiments for 120 participants simultaneously.
• I performed complex statistical analysis of data in R, including explorative and confirmatory multilevel analysis with growth modelling, and machine learning techniques such as PCA.
• I programmed software in PHP, JavaScript, Batch, AHK, SQL and R, including the R package ‘psyosphere’ to analyze GPS data for behavioral science experiments, and I published psyosphere as open source software.
• I achieved 2 publications, plus 1 pending and plus 1 in development.

Assistant to the head of internationalization. The tasks varied from organizing international conferences, guiding the development of support software for the strategy and policy department, to give input to policy for (international) students.

The ECIU is a consortium of European universities and as president of the student wing I represented about 290,000 students in Brussels.

• With my team of board members, we reorganized the Student Wing and created a broader platform for students to provide input on EU educational policy.

The Student Union is an organisation governed by students that represents the interests of all students at the University of Twente. Over 100 associations, committees and foundations including study, sports, cultural and leisure associations make up the Student Union. The annual budget was about 7.8 million euro and I was supported by office staff and three direct reports.

I was responsible for

• the PR of the Student union,
  
• policy for international students, and
• policy for the IT facilities for students.

Some examples of what I did:

• I developed a international student housing policy for the executive board of the University of Twente.
• Together with international office I organized the International day of the University of Twente and I introduced the Henk Zijm international award.
• My predecessor developed the general structure of a new Student Union website. I further developed the structure, hired employees to fill the content and coordinated the programming of the different modules.

March 2009 – February 2010

I chaired the meetings of the umbrella organization of the international student associations. I invited speakers and university employees for thematic sessions.
